Impacts of economic slowdown due to COVID-19 are felt throughout Indonesia at different proportion. Population in rural area have seen their income opportunities further diminished as urban centres consumption slowed down. The closure of market place further shrunk opportunities for rural population who depend mostly on the sale of agriculture produce to gain income. Intensification and diversification of agriculture productivity is one way to overcome this challenge. Therefore, together with Perkumpulan Mnukwar Papua, the project provides agriculture and product development training for rural and sub-urban population of Manokwari District, West Papua. There are five training programmes from introduction of agriculture mechanisation, organic farming system, to the production and marketing of agro-food products. With the skills gained from the training, participants will see an increase of income up to 10% as farm productivity rise and raw materials transformed to better-valued products.
